As the title says the trusty mechanical timer has stopped working (just in time for winter yay!) so its a good reason for me to upgrade to smart stat as ive been wanting to have control from my phone for a while now.

So heres the question, basically all i really need is the smart feature from my phone so i can set the heat on when im coming home (i work irregular hours) so pretty much all the usual ones will do , the nest , climote and hive. But are there any reason to go for one over the other?

I was looking at the Hive and Nest initially but i see my provider also has climote. Would anyone have any recommendations on these?

Its a small 3 bed 2 storey, heating is not zoned, and i dont need to be able to control water heating.

    Thanks in advance

I Think Climote requires an annual Subscription after first year to enable remote access

It does. I have one myself. Heatmerchants are now selling the hive for around 150 euro. No annual fees I believe
