Where best to buy laptop? PowerCity or Amazon? 4gb RAM vs 8gb?

Any advice on best place to buy a laptop. Looking to spend around €450. Thinking of a Lenovo, 15.6inch, i3, 1tb hdd, dvdrw
PowerCity - As above 4gb RAM for €479
Amazon - same but 8gb RAM for €452

So obviously better specs from amazon and we could get it delivered to a friend up north. But will be trickier in case if any problems or returns required.

Should we just go with amazon? Or will the extra RAM not be noticeable?

Or other suggestions of where to look for something in that range also welcome.

    Thanks

many phones have 4gb RAM or even more these days.
I wouldn't buy either a laptop or desktop PC these days with anything less that 8gb ram as a minimum.

8 is getting to be standard at this stage. 4 will do if you're not doing anything major

But it does not offer headroom moving forward. I would not buy a machine with less than 8GB at this point.

And OP, Amazon delivers to Ireland you can just have it delivered directly? Unless you are buying from a third party seller... if you are I would advise you to be cautious.

Hi OP, are either of these the laptop you are referring to?:

    Laptop One

    Laptop Two

If so, they are both second hand.
