I am new on here but would like to know if anyone has any experience like mine? I have suffered with back ache on and off for years but since sept 16 I have been so much worse I attended my gp and started a cocktail of painkillers etc which to no avail. I had an mri in nov which showed bulging and degenerative disc underneath my l4 vertebrae which was completely showing white on the mri the consultant was concerned and told me it was one of two things bone cancer or bone infection which knocked the wind out of me as I wasnt expecting that! I then had a series of bloods done testing for cancer tb and infections all of which came back clear thankfully.I then had bone biopsy which had to be repeated due to not getting enough first time that also came back clear.ive been on every cocktail of pain meds which have not helped im seeing a consultant in the midlands who is not sure what exactly is the lesion? He has sent a letter to a Dr Seamus Morris to see if he can look at all my mri scans and reports and if he can decipher what exactly is causing the vertebrae to be anemic low marrow and swollen?I have since received an app with Mr Morris in the Centre for Orthopaedics Beacon hospital Dublin for next week.I am extremely anxious and worried about what this will entail.Im obviously excited to see if he can pinpoint and treat this lesion as its ruling my life im out of work ive 3 children and im struggling to walk bend sit stand sometimes dress myself nevermind all that comes with running after 3 kids and keeping the house in order which is impossible I feel like I cant go on like this ive zero quality of life cant wear high shoes or go out socially to drink or make any sort of plans as I never know if im going to be able to get up from bed each day.im currently taking 20/10mg targin twice daily 5mg oxynorm 3xdaily 10mg baclofen 3xdaily along with anti inflammatory and paracetamol.im also taking 200mg lustrell due to ongoing anxiety and depression. Sorry for such a long post and apologies for spellings etc if anyone has any experience or advice it would be greatly appreciated tia x
