Worst year of my life, down to gardai lying about a crime I never committed

I don't even know where to start with this...I can't stay quiet about this anymore, and I need some advice.

I'm going to leave out the details to keep this as short as possible but last October I was convicted of a crime by two members of an Garda Siochana that never happened, that they fabricated themselves that day and made statements to the DPP. I thought it would never come to anything after I realized there was CCTV in the area I encountered them that they claim the incident happened, and got a lawyer to request the footage off the Gardai. But I got news of a court date on September 7th which went ahead, and they failed to provide any evidence (the footage I requested, nor the statement I made upon being arrested stating that what they were accusing me of was completely untrue), and the case was adjourned until October the 5th. They were told by the judge to provide the evidence to the court and my lawyer on this date.

Their false statements of the crime were published in every tabloid newspaper in the country the next day, and remain online for everyone to see. I have just completed 6 years of college and coincidentally got the results of my masters degree the day after this. The lies they've told have made me too embarrassed to leave my house, ruined any chance of beginning a my career here, I've lost friends and I've been depressed since, the lies they've told have completely ruined my life. I have had some terrible things happen to me in my life but this is the only one that has me needing counselling to try to stay sane during what is going on.

I got word from my lawyer yesterday that they claim the CCTV was not working that day. So whilst they have no evidence of the crime they claim I committed, I have none to say they're lying. So it is my word against theirs. What could a person in this situation do to try to get justice for the damage these lies told by the Gardai have caused that person? I don't think I'll ever be able to get over this
