As it's Cyber Security Awareness Month, please take the opportunity to make sure you know how to protect yourself online and on the phone.

    What to watch out for:

Fraudsters may pretend to be from your bank, credit card company or another company you trust to try and trick you into sharing your personal details, whether through fake links in an email, by phone, text or online.

    Remember:

If something doesn’t seem quite right, do not click on any links or reveal any passwords, personal details or banking details.  Make sure you are entirely satisfied that any request is genuine before acting on it.

    Bank of Ireland will never:
    • Send you a link directly to the login page of 365online or Business On Line.

    • Send you an email with a direct link to your latest eStatement.

    • Ask you to share your full 365 PIN.

    • Ask you to transfer money out of your account to protect yourself from fraud.

You should always check eStatements or bank statements as soon as they become available and look out for any unfamiliar transactions on your account.

    Hey Tara,
Just want to get clarification on the preferred faculty loan. I am studying medicine in the university of limerick and am a BOI customer. Where can I find the terms and conditions for this loan?
    Thanks
    Hayley

    Hi HopefulGEM18

    Thank you for your message.

We do offer a Medical Sciences loan and a Graduate Entry Medical loan, to avail of this you can enquire with your university branch.

We no longer have Preferred Faculty loans, but the loans I mention above are available for medical students.

If we can help you with anything else please let us know.

    Thanks,

    Lorna
