Long shot, if someone has lost a Springer spaniel in the Dundrum area of Tipperary, I have handed it in with the vets in Dundrum.

Dog was chipped, but was still registered with the breeder, so no idea who the owner is.

The Breeder should take him back so. They should also know where each puppy went.

Vets didn't even ring them. They rang the dog warden instead, who was due to collect it. Poor thing seemed injured to me, just lying on the ground. So I picked it up, carried it back to the car & to the vets.

Oh dear post the info on lors lost dogs it's a great website and you get good advice. You're so good to bring him/her to the vet.

Is that site only through Facebook ? I don't have a Facebook account.

Hopefully it's reunited with it's owner. Seemed injured when we found it, lying down, seemingly unable to get up.

Please ask the vet to contact the breeder that the chip is registered to. It's not good enough of the vet to ignore the chip and simply hand him over to the warden. That only means one thing for the poor dog once his 5 days are up in the pound, if he's not claimed.

Lors Lost Dogs page is a FB page, do you know anyone that might put a post up on it for you?

I'm on Facebook so if you want to upload a photo of the dog here I'll put it on Lors lost dogs page if you want. I'll include all info about the dog. Hopefully it's reunited with its owner soon.

Actually I'm not on Facebook. Any news on the poor dog?

Thanks for the offer, didn't even think to take a photo. Was so concerned about it, all we wanted to do was get it somewhere safe it could be looked after.
Felt worse leaving it there, than taking it in. We were asked if we were in a position to take it ( wish we could but really not in a position to do it atm ). If not, the warden would collect it.

Ringing the warden is the right thing to do

The dog was thankfully reunited with it's owner, through the warden.

Apparently, it had got out of it's run, & went on their own walkies :)
