    Hi

I want to install dimmer switches in the hall and landing.

Is it the case that you can only change one of the switches to a dimmer? The other just remains as a normal switch. Just want a simple system.

    Thanks

    Have you considered smart lighting?

Philips Hue: smart bulbs as well as smart dimmers & sensors

You can install 1 inline dimmer. On the landing and hall use a spring loaded switch. There are a number of these inline dinners out there. If the lamps are led, use a dimmer that has a neutral connection on it and is rated for led.

    Not led.
In the hall I have 2 switches controlling one set of lights.
    Just one dimmer needed really.
