Someone I know is looking at a circa 2013-2015 estate car and has narrowed it down to A4/Octavia/Superb in the 2.0 diesel

Are there any of these engines that have potential issues over others? Which is best one/most reliable to choose from?

Spotted a nice 2014 reg Octavia VRS up north (184bhp) earlier and is considering this one

    Any help appreciated, thanks

In before the emissions update comments.

None of those engines are trouble free but they are no more unreliable than a comparable diesel from other manufacturers. Mostly EGR and injector trouble, neither is prolific but you do see it.
