GNIB and Re-entry visa problems

    Hi Guys,
    So im in a bit of a bother here with the GNIB and Re-entry visa. My GNIB expires in 1st week of December, i'll have 2 years completed so im eligible to apply for the stamp 4 now. However, i need to travel to Netherlands for a mandatory company training and i need to apply for a visa for that. For this purpose my passport is with the dutch embassy till around late October and i'll be travelling to Amsterdam in either last week of October or 1st week of November. I'm also travelling again for holidays at the end of November so it gives me a very small window in which to get my GNIB and Reentry visa done after im back from Netherlands and before i travel for holidays.

    How should i go on about this? there are absolutely no appointments available on the website either for GNIB or Re-Entry visa which is ridiculous. I had already taken an appointment in the 1st week of October for GNIB renewal however as my passport is with Dutch Embassy i don't think i'll get my GNIB renewed then. Can i show them a color copy of my passport instead?

    I've tried calling GNIB and explaining it to them but they keep referring me to take an appointment online. Also sent them an email and didn't get any satisfactory reply. Is there anything else that i can do other than just keep checking the GNIB and Re-entry visa website and trying to get an appointment in the right dates for me?
