    Hi there

I am trying to hang a bike holder hook and the location i want to put it is on a concrete/stone wall. House built in the early 1900s.

The holder itself has two points for a narrow width screws but wondering what size screws would I need to get them to hold the hook correctly and not fall out?

Could I attach the holder by using a wall plug and screw? Can this work on an old concret/stone wall?

Maybe someone might have ideas for me to try out. Not very familiar with this but willing to try something out.

    Thanks

What size are the mounting holes?
You could use screws and good quality plugs (UNO) or expanding anchors with a thread and nut.

You'll need an SDS drill for the stone as well as what CJh advised.

Here is what wall is like. Holes were already there just showing to see what is involved and what wall is like.. Need a smaller hole size anyway.

And here is the screws I have for the holder.

I would be tempted to bolt a piece of 3x2 to the wall, with rawl bolt type anchors, then screw the hook to the wood with strong wood screws 5 or 6mm thick.x 30 or so.

I hung a bike rack that I assume is similar to yours, or at least the fixing holes are in similar locations. I didn't use the supplied screws, instead I bought longer lag bolts. The hex head meant I could rattle them in good and tight with an impact driver
