Tax Requirements For Setting Up On Fiverr?

    Hi,

    I'm recently out of work and in the process of re-evaluating everything. In the meantime I was thinking of setting up as a freelancer on Fiverr (as a potential nixer on the side).

    Do I need to be setup as self employed / are there any tax obligations I would need to follow or would I be ok to setup today and evaluate once an income threshold is reached (if there is a threshold)?

    Apologies, I'm not up to speed with the self employed / tax area.

    You'd have to be making over 5K to be obligated to register as self employed. Otherwise, you declare the income on your Form 12 tax return as a PAYE taxpayer
