Hi all, my cousin getting married next July in Portugal, flights are already there for ryanair and aerlingus but so expensive, should I just bite bullet and purchase now or is it worthwhile to hold off for now and see if they go down in price?:)

Ryanair flights do fluctuate in price quite regularly so it is a tough one to call.
I would guess the busy summer flights are less likely to go down in price so perhaps it is best to book now and don't be tempted to check the prices again after that.

or even check flights, Cork may only have 1 flight a week to Faro, making it expensive, a regional airport like Manchester could have 10, making prices much more flexible, also the strength of the euro to the pound makes it even better

If it's the first 2 weeks directly after primary school term finishes I would book them soon as they will generally only go up with the demand. Summer is a very hard time to judge when to book the cheapest possible flights as it's peak season.

You should look at using a mix of Ryanair and Aer Lingus as to whatever is cheapest out or in. If you get flights at night going out they will normally work out cheaper.

I just checked, Cork has 9 Aer Lingus flights a week to Faro.

If you can get a return for anything near €200 book it. It won't be cheaper.

Have Ryanair stopped this route? Looks like only aer lingus flying to faro from cork and they're not cheap

Looks that way.Ryanair closed the Faro base so unfortunately Cork was caught on the crossfire. Maybe check Shannon too
