Just looking for tips advice if anyone has dealt with this before. 3dr audi a3, just had window reg done and now the top of the door is not sealing to the frame and is letting in a fair amount of water, to the cabin and into the frame of the door, so its a pretty big pain in the hole.

didn't have time for it myself so left it with VW garage (I have yet to find out what adjustments they made) and they were unable to fix it, made it slightly worse by the looks of it.

    Thoughts appreciated.

Top of the window or door?

If I'm reading it right it sounds like somebody put a lot of weight against the upper door frame and it's out by a few mm, possibly pushing against the top while pulling off the door card or something stubborn while going at the regulator.

The top half of the door has to be removed to fit a regulator.

    Who fitted the regulator?

    Thanks for the replies.

    Indy mechanic.
Yeah the top frame is removed to fit reg. I looked at it there myself and there are two bolts that fit into adjustable threads, they seem to adjust that part of the frame in and out and the other just above the lock I think adjusts it forward or backwards.

I didn't touch the one above the lock but adjusted the other one and it seems to be sealing a lot better now.

But now the flipin door is hanging slightly, so needs a bit of shove to close it. No idea how to rectify that yet.
