100w Linear Halogen Lamp 118mm - in-line dimmer

I have a bathroom mirror that takes a 118mm linear halogen lamp. The fitting is rated 100w max. 100w is even a bit too bright; I'd settle for a 60w. I managed to get a 100w one in a small hardware shop a few years ago but can't get any less than 150w now. Have looked in a good few places. 150w would be too bright and too hot. There's no room to fit in an LED equivalent so I need another solution.

Question then, does such a thing as small inline dimmer exist? So, I could hide away the dimmer switch (behind the mirror). The light on the mirror is controlled outside the bathroom door.

    Thanks.
