    Hi,

I'm in the market for a newer car. upgrading from an 06 octavia. The below caught my eye. Everything is in order, full service history etc.

Is there anything I need to look out for and particularly the 1.6 peugeot engine. Ive always had petrol or 2.0 diesels. Should this mileage be fine with the 1.6 the same way you expect it of the bigger engines. Im getting it for 8k

    cheers

The URL is throwing up the home page for some reason. Description of the car is 2011 Peugeot 3008 SX 1.6HDI 112 EURO 5 5DR

Very awkward to service everything is almost under the windscreen once the bonnet is opened. Check for signs of oil around the turbo. Also have a look at the front springs....both of mine went after about 140,000 km.

Nice Car to drive by the way excellent room for my three kids and loads of room in the booth.

My Dad has it in automatic and hates it, it's awful going through the gears, he'll be offloading by the summer.
That said, the examples are all Manual.

My father has had 2 now and he loves them. I like driving them myself. My main worry is the mileage. There doesnt seem to be old wive tales about the 1.6 diesels like there is with the older bigger diesels, along the line of sure shes only broken in at 100k. My 1.6 petrol skoda has 200k on the clock and is running perfect. Problem is its getting to the point now where ive to nct every year, my insurance is high, my tax is high and its just getting out of date.

Shares alot with it's sister car the Citroen Picasso. That engine was also used in the likes of the Volvo S40/V40/S80, Mazda 3 and Ford Fiesta/Focus/Mondeo.
