Hey all, my wife and I are looking for a nice Irish hotel for 3 days in the first week of November that's near a nice beach for walking, outside county Dublin please. Can anyone recommend any please?

The budget is probably around €500-600 and we'd prefer outside Dublin although not really all the way up in Donegal, maybe on the South east coast, although we are not limited to there. All suggestions are welcome. Thanks in advance

This is a nice hotel in Donabate, Co. Dublin.
Stayed there for a wedding and enjoyed it.

Cheers for that NIMAN, will check it out.

    They are reasonably priced too.
You might get lucky and have a night when some music act is in the Backroom too.

What part of the country are you thinking of?
    And what budget?

    Wexford:
Kelly's resort - big bucks never stayed there.
Ferrycarrig - middle of range very nice

    Kerry:
    Parknasilla in seem,

    Donegal:
    Sandhouse hotel Rossnowlagh beach.

    Sligo:
    Beachhouse hotel mullaghmore

    Dublin:
The Waterside house hotel, think used to be called the sands hotel in Donabate

    Wicklow:
The Martello is right on Bray promenade.

Is Bray too near? Some nice hotels and B & Bs. Lovely walks along the cliffs towards Greystones.

Including if you're willing to travel. Well worth the journey. Fab pool also and great beach.
Kelly's in rosdlare. Great hotel. Very relaxing. Lovely pool also and a great beach.

Whitford in Wexford is lovely. Family run, fab food, playground, swimming pool, close to everything

    Kelly's in Rosslare Strand.

Ferrycarrig, while not on the beach it's a shortish drive to Curracloe which is the nicest beach I've ever been on.

Hotel Curracloe is near it but don't know what the hotel is like to stay in.

    Clayton/White's in Wexford town.

You can't go wrong with Wexford. I'm a blow in and ten years later I still love the place.

@ toadfly - will look at that one thanks :)

@ Maryanne84 Yeah, Bray is definitely too near, we're often there so we want something a little further away but thanks for the suggestion :)

@ amber2, we were looking at inchydoney alright but the prices are crazy, could get a week in Spain for the same cost

@ Rubberchikken - will take a look at it thanks!

@ jennyhayes123 - thanks for that, another one to check out!

@ WOW, some great suggestion, will definitely take a look thanks :)

Seafield Hotel in Ballymoney - really nice, bit pricey, short walk down through the grounds to great beach

Arklow Bay Hotel - less expensive, still nice though, beach is less impressive but there is a nature reserve & lake which are nice for a walk

@ ITDept, cheers for that, we'll take a look at both of these :)

Heard great things about Kellys in Rosslare

Not sure if the beach in Carlingford is up to much but certainly enough bars & restaurants in the village

Inishowen Hotel in Buncrana is one to consider or the Harbour Inn up there

or spoil yourself at the Cliffhouse in Ardmore

Shame you'd rule out Donegal ....are we really that far away? Its not like Ireland is the USA, we are only 3.5hrs drive away.
