Bale / Cattle Trailer

    Lads,

The old bale trailer 24ft has seen better days so was looking at either doing it up over the winter or splashing out on a new or nearly new one.

Anyway while browsing the internet I came across an A&W engineering trailer that has a demountable cattle body on it. https://www.facebook.com/AW-Engineering-805385146255658/
I'm sure other trailer makers do similar. Anyone any experience of these? How long to mount / demount etc. The look the business to be fair and as I have an 18ft cattle trailer that is around since the year dot it might be an option to change to something like the combined unit and be compliant with current regs.

We do a bit of work with the cattle trailer due to fragmentation and probably around 600 bales max a year so its difficult to justify big spend on these but at the same time...

So looking for anyones comments thoughts on one of these

That trailer is only 24000 + vat!!!!
I have an ifor Williams 14 ft demountable and never separated it. I think you are better off getting a specific trailer for the job in hand.
I was looking at the Lynch 20 ft trailer at the ploughing and it's not bad at 12750.

It is nice to compare quotes Limestone Cowboy. If I was going for it I would be saving at least €500 now I would hope. We should start a tread on the prices lads are getting on trailers. I must try s&n trailers in Tipperary as they make a good trailer. Gleesons were 12750 + vat for the 20 ft. That triple trailer is some piece of kit allright and I could do with a better bale trailer to be legal but the price is massive.

    Regards

Good 20ft tractor trailers don't devalue much it seem. Friend of mine looking for a year or so but it's looking like he will go new now.
