Seen that they have only notified customers effected up to 20September, what about people traveling after this date, get the finger out ryanair and publish a full list of flights going to be effected, people need to plan things, will never fly with ryanair again after this stunt, hope they are taken to the cleaners with paying out compensation and maybe someone will take a proper case against them and sue them for a lot more than the standard compensation, people need yo stand up to things like this or they will all be at it. What a joke, hope people vote with there wallets and book a different airline in future, i know i will, need to teach them a lesson that they can't treat people like this

Why don't you "take a proper case against them"?

Would love to but that will cost a lot of money which I do not have, would will willing to contribute towards cost if a number of people would like to take a case, typical arrogance from Ryanair and its owner, how can that be allowed to get away with destroying people's holidays like that. Never again will I fly with this bunch and I hope other people do the same.

I think that the truth is that they don't know the flights that are going to be effected and that if they did know the full extent of the issue then the problem would be containable. It is possible that this could go on longer than they are indicating at the moment. Big businesses often give the "least worst" scenario in cases like this

Any way to find out which flights? I'm going to a wedding in 2 weeks and lots of people are flying ryanair

They haven't announced anything. General consensus is that they don't know themselves yet. Anyone flying up to Wednesday 20th has been notified if they've been affected.

Im going to Italy on October the 1st and kind of need to know what the story is, Im flexible though so have no problem letting them push me onto another flight time, do you get shunted onto another flight within 24 hours or do you just get your money back?

This is crazy though, how can you not see a situation like this coming and plan for it?

Have they said whether or not any more flights will be cancelled on the days already released? As in, I have a flight on Wednesday that isn't on that list. Am I going to wake up tomorrow to find it has been cancelled? Or are the flights on the list all that will be cancelled for that day and no more will be cancelled?

This whole thing is just bizarre. I thought it was a Waterford Whispers story when I read about it.
Can Ryanair actually get away with this?

This is an absolute disgrace, I have a flight to Berlin next month booked with Ryanair, my first time ever using the airline too!

Ongoing discussions also in Aviation&Aircraft forum here.

    Thanks,

It's not so hard to vote with your wallet now that Ryanair have driven fares down industry wide.
