Does anyone know what tea tree oil shampoo would have pharmaceutical grade tea tree oil or even what it means. I read it somewhere that some shampoos are not pharmaceutical grade but cannot find  the link now . it is for some one with scalp problems. Can't give much detail as i do not know much about tea tree oil except is supposed to be good for scalp problems. Not seeking medical advice just what the term pharmaceutical grade tea tree oil means and what product would have it

Capasal herbal shampoo has tea tree oil in it. It's a really good reputable brand and I imagine they use good quality ingredients.

Thanks both. it is for someone with scalp folliculitis. they use albarta balsam teal tree shampoo tesco about 2 euro and http://www.hollandandbarrett.com/shop/product/dr-organic-tea-tree-pure-oil-60083691

it works but it comes back and is not bad but annoying. Would the shampoo above be better. I read it somewhere that some shampoos are not pharmaceutical grade

You'd be better off staying away from Tesco and Holland and Barrett and buying some Tea Tree Essential Oil from a reputable shop online, then add a few drops to a quality shampoo. That way you know what you are using.

Avoid anything with SLS and those with salt.

I can understand your tesco comment but i would have thought holland and barret stuff was good. What would be a reputable shop online? Won't they all claim to be the best
