Anyone see or try this, or will it even work here with our Irish IPs. Just got an notification for Freesat, advertises Eurosport 1 & 2, Discovery, Comedy Central, MTV, etc, for £5.99/month.

Not sure if that's per channel or an introductionary, as I already pay that just for Eurosport through their own app.

I got very excited by this.

I tried starting an account but it wouldn't work with an Irish credit card.

I emailed their support desk but they said it was only available in UK.

I tried entering a UK postcode in the CC registration but it would not accept it.

It's a pity, some good channels there.

Also as far as I can figure out this service is only available as an online service, similar to Netflix and BBC iPlayer, on the Freesat Player.

So no recording or planning etc..

Had a feeling it might have just been UK. Hopefully the app will be available to Ireland soon.

Unlikely, as it's a UK service.

Freesat is developing Saorview's connected service which will include On Demand. Maybe it'll include some of those services carried on Freesat's On Demand.

Did you try using Revolut? As it's a UK card it should work but you'd probably also need to set up a UK address with it.

Thanks for tip. I don't know anything about Revolut. I'll investigate. Any Revolut tips appreciated.

Signed up using revolut, works on the laptop, but just get a black screen on the satbox. App is not great anyway, interface wise. I am using getflix dns by the way.
