    Bunting blew it there

With some massive favourites out it's anyone's too win this year. Was wrong in the past but gun to my head id pick Barney too win out

I've watched that game at Citywest, Bunting blew out last leg big time, but was making mistakes throughout the game, could have finished Wright lot earlier.

Well that was my first time at the darts. I brought my 2 boys aged 7 and 8 and we all had a blast.

I guess that it was a bit quiet there last night compared to other nights and that might not have been
    the worst idea for us.

The 2 boys are both big Peter Wright fans so we coloured their hair and spiked it up.
As Wright was walking on he only saw one of them and popped over to say hi.
    The other lad was distraught.

And I'm thinking how can I fix this? I say to him that the only way we have a chance to fix it was
that Wright had to win and to stay positive. I felt so bad urging Bunting to miss those last 2 darts.
    Not out loud mind.

We went down to the runway area and I managed to talk to Peter's wife. She was so nice and gave
Peter the eye to come over and say hi which he duly did. 2 very happy boys on the drive home.
Wrecked this morning. We didn't get home until after 1.

    Good times!!

Wow the crowd seems dead tonight, prob a lot expected MVG to be there but not too be

Cullen picking up the pace,he's not a bad player and not the typical fat dart player lol

This Beaton-Barney game has been dreadful

    So 2 QFs are known
    John Henderson vs RVB
    Daryl Gurney vs Robert Thornton
(Winners face off in the semis)

    Other 2 QFs are
    Suljovic/West vs Price/BVDP
    North/Whitlock vs Wright/King
(Winners face off in the semis)

Hard too call, I'll go for a Daryl Gurney vs Peter Wright final but they can have there off days

Why don't they have their normal walk on songs for round two?

Not like time is an issue like the first round.

Starting to dislike this tournament more and more.

this year is final straw i would think

    It's not it's booked for 30 Sep-6 Oct 2018

    https://www.pdc.tv/news/2017/08/28/2018-pdc-calendar-confirmed

It still pulls enough crowds here to be profitable and the hotel makes a good bit the weeks too. Can't see it being moved

That's a positive for me, can't stand the big drawn out walk ons.

First major in years that anyone could win, love it

great that anybody could win but the games have be terrible

That's half the fun for most people when you are there live.

It's always this tournament that was has the weird quarter final line ups. Compare this to any other major and it's totally different, the double start is a great leveler.

From a tv point of view I don't mind having something different. From going to the event I wish we had a standard 501 tournament and this was on in England.

Players find it hard to get a rhythm and the games are generally poor.

i think the players hate it also
its a shame for us as the premier league is just a exbo

    Henderson is running insanely hot.

Barney barely congratulated him at the end.

Anyone of hendo Gurney or suljovic to win would be great.

    Epic semi-final line-up.
Doubt the touts will be loving it though.

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,274 ✭✭✭✭mdwexford

Happy for Big John and Mensur.

Peter Wright should give himself a good bollocking though, have to mop up those majors when the big guns go out.

James Wade made a career out of mopping up Taylor's early exits.
