Taking on an employee

Can anyone advise what paperwork I would need to take on someone to work within my home? I want to keep it all above board, tax paid correctly etc. Can I do it without an accountant?It would be a low wage/short hours. Thank you.

Make sure you have public liability insurance for your home/business premises.

OT - Using your home as a business will have PPR CGT relief implications.

Would you be able to calculate their net wages and manage the employer tax obligations.

You can probably learn how to do this fairly easily.

Thanks Avatar and Tenigate. The person would be childminding. They want to be an employee. I'm not sure where to start.
