Visa Advice - long distance relationship

I am currently studying a postgraduate in Ireland and will be finishing in the summer of 2018. I'll be applying to get the one year working visa for the US.

I'm also currently in a long distance relationship with a guy from Boston, Massachusetts. I have visited him in America twice now and will be again at Christmas.

Should I be honest with the US embassy about our relationship? I am worried that they will think this is a reason for me to stay illegally after the visa expires. I'm not sure if I will have strong evidence of economic ties to Ireland other than my family and that I hope to go on to study a PHD once I return.

Looking for any advice or anyone with similar experiences.

    Lizzy

Honestly, if it were me, if the visa is not dependent on any info from him, I would just apply for the on year graduate visa on your own bat. Make your life as easy as possible. I don't think, and I stand to be corrected, that you will have to provide thee information about your relationship

I think you're right. Whenever I have gone through US customs at the airport I have told them I was just staying with a friend, so if they ask about my visits I'll just say I have friends living there currently. From what I've heard the interview is very quick.
