I want to attend a Level 5 course, having already received a grant a couple of years ago. I have now been unsuccessful with my Back to education allowance application. Reason? because i did complete a level 5 course i attended 3 years ago.

I'm trying my best to find work!! It's just not happening or me so i wanted to focus on this course. Now only to be told if i attend course i will receive ZERO!!

Is there anything i can do? :( I'm desperate to do the course :(

You have to progress your education so if you were doing a level 6 your claim would be successful.

Can i appeal? Is there any point? I had health problems a few years back, while on that course. I was depressed & on meds. Suicidal. I'm doing my best to improve my life & now this happens

See january's post above...to be eligible for BTEA it would need to be lvl 6 and above.

Basically as already mentioned above you need to be progressing in education you already have a lv5 award you need to move up to a level 6 there is nothing really to appeal unfortunately
