I'm new hear , so go easy :)

    Looking for some tax advice.

My wife and I have rental income here in Ireland and I will soon be starting a PAYE job in the UK. Currently we file our tax return jointly in Ireland. My wife will continue to live in Ireland and be tax resident here. I will work in the Uk spending approx 6 months there each year. My question is ; what is the best way to arrange my tax affairs as I will have Irish and Uk income. Would it be more beneficial for my wife to get the rent income and separate her tax affairs to my PAYE in the UK. Or should we both maintain tax residency here in Ireland ? I could arrange to be tax resident in either country as I spend approx equal time in both and also have strong ties in both.

    Any advice appreciated,

    Thanks.
