Dress Sold As New on eBay...... But It's Not

    Hey Folks,

Bought the missus a Zara dress that was listed as new without tags and which had a small mark on the rear of the dress. Fair enough I thought, it was cheap enough so purchased. It arrived the other day and it certainly wasn't NWOT (new without tags). The person had clearly worn it as it reeks of perfume and has more marks on it than those which were mentioned.

I know I can open a case with eBay but what's the usual outcome in these situations? All in it cost me €26 which isn't that much but what normally happens- you open a case, send the item back to the seller at your expense and get refunded? With the cost to send it back to the UK I doubt it'll be worth my while to do that. Should I just leave negative feedback or is there more I can do?

    Many thanks.

I can go through the claim process but what's the usual outcome? Needing to post the item back to the seller and getting a refund minus postal charges?

Wa it sold "As New" or as "New"

If "As New" then that would mean worn but excellent condition.

If sold "New" without the word "as", then it should not be a worn item.

A brand-new, unused, and unworn item
