    Hi folks,
As the titles suggests I have lied on an Affadavit of Means both in regard shares and a bank statement. I know it wasnt right.
Background, I split my my wife, (who was having an affair) I am in the house as she works in Dublin, I have paid the mortgage and all house bills since.
I am willing to take over the mortgage.
She has really good job in Dublin,we haven't spoken since the split
As I said I didn't tell the truth and I have to sign an Affadavit of Means again tomorrow for Monday..
    Should I come clean.
    I am a wreck here !
I know It's my own fault.
Am I only digging a bigger hole myself ? (Probably am)
I think I am more nervous of my solicitors reaction.
I think It's the bank account that will catch me out.
    Any advice greatly Welcome.
    Thanks

Be honest with your solicitor and take it from there.

You should never lie on sworn statements but your solicitor may be able to negotiate with the other side.

Suggest you talk to your solicitor before swearing any other affidavits

If you want to come clean talk to your solicitor and see if that one can be scrapped and a new one drawn up that is correct before your court date. Tell your solicitor you panicked but you want to be honest now and get everything done right

Yeah I think honesty is going to be the best way forward..
Like I said my Solicitor wont be too happy, but that's what she is getting paid for.I'm sure I'm not the first or the last, not that that makes it right..
    Thanks.

You do not seem to realise the difficulties you have caused for yourself and your solicitor.
imho it would be wiser to apologise to your solicitor rather than saying that that is what she is getting paid for.
    I suggest phoning her now
Please do not post on this forum for at least a month
