Small wedding ceremony

    Hi,

Looking to get married next spring, we'd like a small wedding (15-20 people) in Dublin. We're looking at different restaurants for the meal, but really not sure about the ceremony. I like the city hall, but is it a bit too big for such a small wedding? Is there a nice registry office that doesn't look too bad? We want a civil ceremony and to keep it fairly simple and short, don't want to spend a fortune either. City centre or south would be best.

The only registry office in Dublin where weddings are celebrated is in Sir Patrick Dun's hospital in Grand Canal Street. You can read an account of what the venue is like here. There are a couple of photographs here and here.

City Hall is beautiful but it's not working out cheap for us!
Hire is €700+, celebrant is €575, registering intention was €200 and chair hire is €350!!
