    Hi,

We have welcomed a new addition to the family, how do I notify Irish Water that there is another person living in the house with the aim of increasing our allowance ?

    Regards,

    Shane

Congratulations!! Copy of the childs birth cert and a lock of their hair and their PPS number should do it!!

What allowance do you want to be increased, the one beyond which you'll be charged for excessive usage?

Water charges: You get to keep the conservation grant, but 'excessive use' charges on the way http://jrnl.ie/3584571

What does it matter any more? Charges are gone. Is the population of the country to advise IW of our movements regardless?

I've no problem with water charges but entertaining the notion that a family advises you every time a new baby arrives, when there are no charges, seems imbecilic.

    Seems odd alright.

Maybe the IW people could advise if it is a mandatory requirement?

There is no need to update details of the members of your household with Irish Water as allowances for domestic water charges have not applied since the government has suspended domestic water charges.

However, if you would like to ensure that your correspondence details are up to date and your account is in order, we recommend calling out Billing line between the hours of 9am and 5:30pm, Monday to Friday

    Thanks,
    Mairead
