I was reviewing my annual holidays earlier on and the good news is that I have lots of holidays to take this year, and my bank balance is also in a condition that I can afford to take a trip abroad somewhere

I’m going to be travelling solo

I’d like to go sightseeing probably around Europe as have never been solo travelling, Id like to see a few countries and see the equivalents of “Cliffs of Mohers” and “the burren” etc

Is there any tour operators that have such a tour for a week ? I had a google last night but didn’t see any such tours

Croatia is awesome, Dubrovnik is a lovely site before the cruise ships get in. Plitvice National park is an absolute must see. Hvar is a lovely spot and great to party.

A trip down to Kotor bay in Montenegro would be good too.

    I loved Pirano in Slovenia

If you had 15-21 days you could travel from Venice down to Dubrovnik and tick many of them off. Never been to Split

I'd suggest skipping the tour group and booking on your own; you'll likely be able to save money that way and you'll be able to experience things as you like without being tied to a tour schedule for the entire week.

How long will you be traveling? I prefer to take things a bit slow myself and spend a week or so in a couple of bigger cities or a few small towns in the same general region of a country. You get to know the place a little better than if you're just rushing around from place to place and spending hours every day traveling.

Since I moved to Ireland a couple years ago, I've taken trips to:

    - Krakow and Wroclaw, Poland
    - Munich and Salzburg (sorry, haven't posted pics yet)
    - Seville, Spain
    - Bergamo and the Lago di Como area of Italy

All beautiful spots with lots of cool stuff to see and do. This October I'm going to northern Portugal for a week as well.
