Will go the first day. Really enjoy it every year. Milk early, be there early and leave around 2.30 / 3pm is the plan

Didn't go last year but hope to go this year with the lads. You know you're in Tipp when the teachers just accept that most people will be gone to the ploughing.

Plan is to go on the Tuesday like last year. Brekkie roll in kinnegad and in the car park by 715/720 to eat and in the gate at 730/745.

Start at row 1 and stand 1 and work my way through it.

I'd be aiming to be leaving the car park about 3-330. The auld feet would be sore at that stage In Wellies on the walkways

Plan to go with the brother, usually go on the Wednesday but will be Thursday this year.
No real items to buy just window shopping.

Haven't been in 4 years, so I'm due back. I'll probably go on the Tuesday or Wednesday. In early, out early.

I'll head up with the auld lad. Be up there early and more than likely be the last lad leaving the place. Probably do a deal up there for a tedder

Have not been for about 5 years this year it will be six. In reality it is over rated and nowadys is too big bid busy to be of any use to most farmers. The kids are grown up so if they want to go can make there own way. Maybe I will go again in 2-3 years time if it is nearer to me

Not been for last two years, will try get down hopefully on the Wednesday weather on my side, I'm to old for the hardship of walking around wet in the gutter all day and like most others, plan on being parked up by 7am, go see the cattle first before the sheds get wedged and then off to tour the stands. Will be just window Shopping, so its a day out, and hit for home again by 3pm.

Going this year for the first time in well over 20 years. Is it still a hole of ****e requiring wellies, or is it all gentrified now?

With the weather now, chances it will be mucky on the day. But there are trackways so it's not too bad until you want to go into a stand to see something.

It would help if people just stood off the tracks to have a chat but that's just me getting old and cranky.

Hope to be going for 2 days this year, 1st day for buying a few bits and the second for enquiring about another few bits and pieces.

I hope to go on the Tuesday, but thats if I can get the day off work. Last year was my first year since 2003, I was shocked by the amount it had grown in both size and crowd.

No I wasn't talking about regional ploughing events, was hinting at the other big agricultural show that was in Tullamore this year!

Would like to go but it's a five-hour round trip from my neck of the woods, and I don't want to go that badly

Because the ground is dry and any sup of rain around the start turns the site into thick soup.

And any questions you want to ask are best answered on the first day. The lads on the stands are worn out and just looking to go home by Thursday morning.

You may have a few points there but walking around with bigger crowds , waiting to talk to someone and traffic all make it want to to give it a miss.

The traffic the big one . They can see the problems and bottle necks on the first day and can change and fix them for the wed

That's why you park well before 8 and eat breakfast on the site:P

Went on a mini bus last year. No traffic delays. Parked right at entrance. Great job

Will be up the Wednesday again this year. Find it much easier to get into/out of Tullamore than Ratheniska at the least!

Does anyone actually get a call back from stands that you show an interest in? They take down all your details and say they'll contact you but never do. One time I was looking for a secondhand bulk tank and fair enough he contacted me but when I paid a deposit on a bulk tank he sold it to someone else and tried to keep my deposit as well. His plan didn't work though.

The week after the ploughing here will be spent on follow up, even though the majority of it is from tyre kickers.
