Rotten taste/smell from tap water

    Lately ( in the last few days) my tap water tastes awful. This morning it's particularly bad. 4/09/17. Around me are extensive drainage works, but these have ongoing for months and there has no problem with water quality. Only in the last few days has the water become almost undrinkable. I live in Dublin 1; Upper Sherrif street, Castleforbes roa. Any ideas about what's happening, and when the water quality will improve?
