We've incorporated forrest walks and some light hikes into our weekends.
The kids love them now, there's lots of freedom for them and they can get to explore themselves. All you need is transport there and a packed lunch.
We're going to upgrade soon to going on some bike trails as well.

Clonfert Pet farm is brilliant, there are indoor and outdoor play areas too and it is 15 euro for a family.

A lot of the museums are free or at least they used to be I might be wrong.depends on where u are.if u in the south east Kennedy park near new ross is good.hook lighthouse is another.if there into cycling theres the new greenway open not sure on the cost for a family.

Rumleys Farm in Cork is great, better than Fota I think, you're so much closer to the animals

Is Rumley's or Leahys the one with the starved camel? I think the animal welfare in those leaves a lot to be desired.

Fota as above is a great day though.

Farran woods has loads. Ziplines, deer and walks around the forest. a playground and picnic area. Watersports.

Fitzgeralds park, shakey bridge, the huge playground, museum and café.

Near sneem, Bluebell farm is great for small children, they milk the cows, feed the chickens etc.

    Galway, Inflatable city at Turoe.

    In Dublin, airfield estate.
