Glad to hear I am not alone!
Its not an area I would know anything about but I found it brilliant for a complete newbie.

I only looked up reviews after and...they are out of this world.....:)

Great to see a prime time audience will get to see such a confident, celebratory piece of work. Really is an unapologetically inspiring look at an unprecedented project, told in an accessible way but with lots of character and verve.

A slight shame, of course, that most will see it on the small screen, although obviously that's cancelled out by the wider audience it'll enjoy. More than many other docs of its ilk, The Farthest really soars on the big screen - a lot of effort put into making it a more vivid piece of work than just your standard talking heads / archive documentary. At the very least, don't relegate it to a tablet when you're watching the RTE broadcast :)

What a brilliant documentary. Inspiring and jaw dropping without being hyperbolic about it. Loved it.

I thought it was good, I'd find it difficult to find to get overly excited about a documentary and it was a tad long. It was well put together and they obviously had good access to the various people involved in the project. Reminds me of the good quality BBC documentaries like Horizon back in the day

After all the hype, I was pretty disappointed with this. At two hours long, it is badly in need of a good edit to chop out about half an hour of talking heads.

Voyager will still be travelling through space in 4 billion years time when our sun has gone supernova and our species is long gone.

But two hours was too long for this movie.
