IBOOD are a bit hit and miss - if you get a cheap product that works, they're great. If it gives you problems and you have to deal with them...they are a bloody nightmare.

Having said all that, this is a very good price on a very good product.

As someone who isn't an apple user....is this a good bargain...I have a family member looking to buy a high end apple phone...but surely this is a bit dated now?

The annual launch event is on 12th September and I think three or four new iPhones launching, iPhone 7s, 7s plus and iPhone 8

The 32gb version is 499 on Apple at the moment they no longer sell 64gb version. It's using the same internals as the iPhone 6S which is two years old at this stage. It's not a high end Apple iPhone, but it's a decent phone for a teenager or as a backup phone.

I have this phone for a year and a half and I absolutely love it. I got the rose gold version and I was tempted to even get a second one for that price until I noticed the rose gold edition is sold out, so temptation gone, phew! :)

I suspect that this phone is about to be discontinued on Sept 12th and Apple are offloading inventory.

Apple themselves would never discount like this but will let a partner do it.

Argos have been doing the 32gb version for €369 for 5-6 weeks now. Might suit if someone prefers dealing with a local store.

64gb was discontinued by Apple in March along with the 16gb. They launched 32gb and 128gb at the same time.

Erm yeah? The Samsung Note 8 is $929 sim free an iPhone 8 will be roughly the same price, so a backup phone that's a third of the price of a flag ship phone isn't too crazy.

Anyways. The phone to buy new from Apple is €499. This is €370. A saving of €129 which is roughly 25% off. But yet there's bargain alert post about 1% off Nike store in the AIB rewards thread and this is somehow less of a bargain? :pac:
