Hi, posting for a work colleague who is desperate. She is looking for a childminder for 5 afternoons a week, 1.45-4.45 with pickup from Ballygunner NS (if possible). Will have to quit her job otherwise and has tried almost all avenues. Her two kids are aged 4 and 7 and are very placid and well-behaved. If interested you can pm me here and I will pass on your details. Thank you!

Has she contacted Waterford Childcare Commiter? They have a list of registered childminders so might be of use.

If they're placid and well-mannered then why can't they be chained up for a few hours. A nice colouring-in book and a bucket and everything's sorted.

They'll probably need walking and feeding too. And grooming, nail clipping every now and again.
