1.6 petrol '04 passat burning oil

A few weeks ago , we upgraded from a 00 micra to a Passat. I fell for the car the second i turned the key, but, its drinking oil.ðŸ˜¦ mechanic mentioned it'd be huge work, and money, just to find the problem, let alone fix. Im putting in a Liter every week. The catylic convertor and servo (leaking but not affecting braking)are also giving trouble. Dont have the money to change cars again. Bought off done deal as micra had 2pages of fails from the nct, so we were desperate. Help please

I don't know what help anyone can give you tbh. Maybe fix the servo and drive it until the nct is up, presuming it has a long nct? and just keep topping it up with oil. Maybe when it comes close to the nct expiring you could.look.for something else.

Thanks, nct til dec. Currently saving and topping up with oil. Its such a pity, other than those issues , its a great car

Deeduck 48.... Hate to say it but maybe should have stayed with your Micra for cheap motoring/transport... Secondhand parts plentyful & cheap + no matter how long list of complaints from NCT may have been reasonable to sort out!

bought an 08 nissan tiida today,from an actual dealer, so hopefully will have better luck.

will try to sell the passat for breaking/ parts. thanks for all the replies.
