Hi there I just had a few questions if anyone knows. So I have been accepted to do a course in my town the Good Lives Project. Before doing the course I was the adult dependent on my partner's claim as she was claiming for herself her child and myself. We went down to separate the claim today. My question was will my money be only the adult dependent on €128 a week or will I be entitlement to the full €193? The course is 9-4 everyday bar Friday where it is 9-2.

If you split the claim, then the total amount that your household receives doesn't change. So, to the best of my knowledge, you'll still be getting €128.

Depending on type of payment the partner is receiving

Thats a pity that I wouldn't get an increase especially when I am doing a full time course.

Is there any allowances or grants I can get towards doing the course?

Why not ask the course organisers.

Or call into Citizens Information in Macroom and they'll soon put you right!
