Hi everyone, I've been stalking deer for many years now and I have already received this years deer license . I've done all my stalking in Kerry as that's where I'm from but now that I live in south Dublin ( I'm almost in Bray ) I'd like to do some stalking up here . I know the usual drill is to go knocking on doors but I don't know where to begin . If anyone could help me on here or via private message if preferred it would be greatly appreciated .Ideally if someone could point me in the direction of a farmer with a deer problem then that would be great . Thanks in advance everybody.

Knock on doors. That's all ya can do. Show them insurance details etc and licence info. That goes a long way. Too many hunting now it's getting harder for permission even for rabbit shooting.

Very true , knocking on doors seems to be the only option.

Might be a bit late for this year but you could also go down the route of Coillte lets if you are having trouble getting private permissions, there are plenty in wicklow ( I am based in South Dublin myself). I know during the summer there are a few facebook groups where I saw syndicate openings being advertised

Good idea , I'm not to sure how to get in touch with syndicates but if anyone has an open spot please get in touch .
I'm still hopeful I'll run into a farmer with a deer problem sometime soon . It's probably wishful think at this stage tho .
