If a person has a FTP + companion due to illness, (over 70), can they travel on their own at any point, or must they ALWAYS be accompanied by a companion does anyone know?

Just wondered. A relative needs help at nightime and getting trains, but is ok during the day getting the bus. But he is afraid to travel on his own in case he gets in trouble.

The companion thing is an option, not mandatory.

A FTP+C allows you to travel alone, or with a companion over the age of 16. It is not mandatory to have a companion with you.
