Thought some here might be interested...

I was fishing last week in Assynt Scotland. Friday approx 2pm on Loch Veyatie, we were drifting nice and slow when I look up and see a huge bird not too far from us, it vaguely looked like a Kestrel from the "stance"/hover , it got nearer and seemed way too big, all of sudden it dropped from the sky and hit the water less than 30 feet from us! We were (am still) gobsmacked, it missed its target and flew off, doing a dog like shake along the way....

    It made my trip!

Seen tons of red deer, caught lots of small "broonies" and a one artic char for 3 days fishing - no pics as I like to get fish back in the water asap.
