    Hi,
Anyone having problems with the new medical/GP card online reviews. I can log in but can't get password the assess page. Call centre don't know what's going on, was told lots of people having issues. I've been trying to do this new online review since last week, think I'll be doing it the old postal way now.

    Hi,
I do experience issues with this new HSE facility of applying for medical cards online . This is not the first time when the public service authority launched a new online facility that does not work. I recently experienced issues with mygovid.ie. Apparently simple, faster access to government services. In fact, their online service was broken and I never got the issue sorted. No wonder that public then revert to the old good way of doing things.

I managed to apply for my medical card renewal after a long battle with their website, scanning all required documents into my PC etc. Then guess what? They emailed me back my pre-filled renewal application form for me to print off, sign and post back to them....:-)) Where is the logic? Couple of days later, before I even managed to print it off and sent it back to them, they sent me another email with a link to their online facility. They were asking me to check my mail there. So I did. I logged in successfully on a third attempt, went to my mail box where I could find a message, "additional NMCO documents required, letter issued to you on 25/09/2017. What the hell does NMCO mean? They are just after emailing me a renewal form to be signed and posted back to them.

Seriously, they got me confused and I deeply regret that I did not apply for renewal by the old traditional way. That means by post..!!

We got rejected and got the same notification for NMCO evidence letter required - said it was sent on the 11th of April and we still have not received anything!

Mine says rejected aswell but it would make this easier if they explained what NMCO is!! And give us a chance to get letter required.
If it was declined it would have said it, they are obviously writing out for more information.
Let me know when you get yours and if mine comes I will post here in case other people in the same boat!!

NMCO stands for "National Medical Card Online".

Thanks for reply, so I presume the letter is saying medical card is denied? I supplied all evidence and it was exactly what was asked for. Strange the way it says you qualify once all evidence supplied is correct 🙈

If you get your medical card refused, you will be told about it in clear and plain language.
If there is still some evidence for your income, etc. missing, they will keep asking for it until they have sorted your case fully out.
It is correct that the digital age has messed up the civil service quite a bit. That "mygovid.ie" is a disaster- not working for me either. So you have to deal with them the old way- paperwork, letters. Unfortunately they prefer more and more the digital way- although I suspect that a lot are not fully trained for it.
You will all get your promised letters. They got printed out- but are in limbo now. The system is tailored to send out the snail mail with relative unimportant stuff only ever so often. This means that a letter could hang around in a department with many others in a big basket until some guy finds the time to bring the whole lot to the post office. This could be two weeks after your letter was written.
No joke- a clerk working inside a DoSP told me in private about this some time ago.

Just to update all, still have not received a letter explaining the rejection. Rang up to complain (it's the third time in a year we've been nominated for a random check) and the reason for our rejection was that the date on my husband's CE Scheme letter was illegible.

What have you to do now? resend all the stuff again??

If it was illegible, then what choice had they? They have to go by the rules.

That said, what is very annoying is that they didn't give you an opportunity to send in a legibly dated version before closing off your application (if they have closed it off). It's very unfair of some half-trained HSE clerical officer to treat an applicant with such complete disregard.

The lady I spoke to suggested I both email the documents and send a copy of them by registered post. She as much as suggested that people are being "rejected" to see how they will respond.

    Hi guys

I applied for the medical card maybe a month ago. I just received a mail on my mymedicalcard.ie account saying that “in order to complete your assessment, please upload all relevant supporting documentation in relation to all items listed below..... blablabla: evidence of wages (payslip, p45...)”

I did upload my most recent payslip at the time of my application and when I try to do it again now, it says all necessary documentation has already been uploaded and it doesnt even let me do it again.
Any of you had a similar experience?
