There's a 12 week countdown offer going on sale the week of the 20th May. I've done a few of them, I find them great for committing to the programme for 12 weeks and really focusing. I'm aiming to get my 6 stone award before the end of the next countdown.

Week 55 Maintain. Happy with that. I've lots on again this weekend again so hoping for another maintain next week. It's my birthday plus I'm heading to a communion.

3.5lbs to get to target, 71.5lbs lost so far. Onwards and downwards!! Val

I’ve got a pound on but I was expecting that. I did some emotional eating before the weekend and then I was away for a night over the weekend so between dinner, wine and lunches a pound wasn’t bad going!

After my reservations about joining, my 3rd week finished and have lost 7.5lbs in total so far, so got my 1/2 stone award last night.  Really happy I joined, finding the food plan really easy to follow, going to get the head down now and incorporate some jogging into my evenings, hit the stone mark in the next few weeks! :)

Has anyone tried doing the 5:2 diet along with SW?

Has anyone tried doing the 5:2 diet along with SW?

nope, but from the little I know about SW it seems to have a lot of free foods so it looks like you could still over eat, so trying something along side it seems like a good idea, IF might be another useful approach which is more about when you eat so again could work along side what you are doing.

Not tried it myself but know a few people that have, seems you either love it or you hate it, it seems quite expensive for what it is and think I'd rather just make the boxty pizza

I tried it a while back, it's ok. I found it a weird consistency, kinda like a flat sponge... I wont be rushing out to buy it again.

My opinion may be a bit muddled with jealousy though, my boyfriend was having a real pizza at the time.

Feel really down. Lost 2 stone last year and felt amazing. Fell off the wagon around September and have been gaining since. Weighed myself eventually and have replaced 20 pounds! The thought of starting again has me really down. :(

Tomorrow is another day. You could have that gain gone by the end of July and another stone easily before Halloween.
    Look forward, not back.

I lost half a lb this week and week before.
Week before I was a bit miffed because I stuck to plan and was expecting a bigger loss.
But this weigh in I was glad because I had a bad off plan weekend

I'm making chicken tikka masalafor dinner tonite... I can't wait!

Half a pound off! I really don’t know how I managed it because I had terrible food week, takeaways, chocolates etc! Hopefully this week will be better.

So finally my 9 weekends in a row of 2 weddings... 1 hen party...a music festival..my best friends birthday and 2 weeks in Boston are finally over! In total I gained 1stone 4.5lbs. I knew this was going to happen all the way back as far as November last year so I was prepared for it. Anyways I decided to kick start my weight loss again by doing an SP week. I stuck to it 100% for 6 days of the week. The only things off plan I had was when I went to Ed Sheeran and I had a portion of sweet potato chips at the start of the night and then a portion of chips at the end of the night. Anyways, on my weigh in on Monday I was down 9lbs! So it's brought me back to a loss of 4 stone 3lbs.
I've bought the 12 week countdown and I'm keeping my food diary 100% honest for the next 12 weeks. I'm looking forward to getting my 5 stone award in the next few weeks. I was only 1 pound off it before I went to Boston at the start of April.
I'm currently about 2 and a half stone away from where I want to be. I've booked a holiday in Bali for 2 weeks for my 32nd birthday in October and I'm determined to be at target when I get on that plane!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 674 ✭✭✭waxmelts2000

Well done Areas at least you faced the scales, I " avoided" mine last week. Will go this week but missed today's weigh in, in last 2 weeks I've been on plan just 2 days... Weather fab here today and all I wanted to do was head to a beer garden! However I resisted and stayed on plan. On my own scales Tuesday morning showed a gain of 7lbs... Doing my best to bring this down. I'll either weigh tomorrow or Saturday morning

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,299 ✭✭✭hairyprincess

I maintained this week. Happy enough with that because I hadn’t been on plan. Back at it this week, I’m just one pound away from my first half stone.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 674 ✭✭✭waxmelts2000

Week 57 Maintain as I faced the scales! Happy with that as it means I lost 7lbs since Tuesday however this is a morning weigh in when I normally weigh Wednesday afternoon so probably not a true weight but I'll take it, back to Wednesday weigh in this week. It just goes to show when on plan 100% it does work....

3.5lbs to get to target, 71.5lbs lost so far. Onwards and downwards!! Val

Week 59 ( 51 weigh ins) a maintain since Saturday weigh in thrilled. My consultant asked me if I wanted to change my target from 75lbs to 70lbs but I said no I'll keep going. Wedding this weekend so I won't be on plan 100% but I'll do my best on the other days if I can!

My 6th week in and 1 stone 2.5lbs down. Absolutely thrilled with the results so far. Big bank holiday weekend ahead with a wedding and a few other things on so looking to stick to the plan as much as I can. Won't be the end of the world if I don't, but gonna try and get back on the wagon as son as possible

I'm feeling quite unmotivated at the moment. I was away for last weekend's group and had my first maintain the weekend before. I wasn't on-plan at all at the weekend and I'm hoping to try and limit the damage by having a good week before next Saturday's weigh in. I've often heard people in group saying their head wasn't in the right place and they were mentally struggling. I didn't really understand where they were coming from until now.

I joined in March, lost just over a stone and have around a stone and a half to target. I feel like now that my clothes are fitting me again and because I've found it so easy to lose weight by sticking to the plan up until now that I'm getting lazy and letting bad habits creep back in. Any words of wisdom or motivation to help get me back on track?

Only pearls of wisdom I can give (as a newbie to SW) are do out a plan for the week so you are organised and less likely to deviate from it. And use the diary.

I lost 3.5lbs this week. Unbelievably delighted with it. I’m halfway to target now.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 288 ✭✭ally_pally

Thanks. I've had a good couple of days and I'm desperately hoping for a maintain on Saturday and then hopefully back to losses from there on. I agree that planning ahead makes such difference. It removes so much opportunity to make bad decisions.

    Planning meals ahead
Eating meals at the right time
Fruit or veg when you feel peckish
    Bringing a list while shopping

3lbs off my 2 stone. Had a bit of hovering back and forth over the past couple of months, but back on track now.

Their Facebook page lists some stockists, though it might be a bit out of date.

Had a maintain. Considering the beers and cake and meals out I had last weekend, I feel like I’m very lucky to escape with a maintain. I was really good and on plan for the last 4-5 days so was thankfully able to scrape things back.

But that’s it now, my head is back in the game. I hate this pattern of weekend binging and weekday better behaviour. I’ll be 100% on plan this week and hopefully get back to some losses.

4 weeks in and 8lb down (and got Slimmer of the Week this week!)

Feels like slow progress, but if I keep it up for another 4 weeks I'll be down over a stone ... I just want to be there NOW, always looking for instant gratification!

Rejoined recently. Down 3.5 week 1, down 2.5 week 2 and up 2 on week 3. Weigh in again tomorrow so hoping for a decent loss. I think the nice weather makes me much more conscious of my weight cos I can't hide it in jeans and jumpers! :)

    Hi All,

Just wondering has anyone experience in making the Slimming World pancakes?
I've tried it with the 40g porridge oats, 100ml milk and muller light yoghurt but I just seemed to end up with an uncookable mushy mess
I'd love to have them as an option for a lazy weekend morning!

Ive made them with quark. I think, but I’m not 100% that it was half a tub of quark, 2 eggs and 40 g of blitzed oats. It’s ages since I’ve made them, I had a total tumble off the wagon. I neeeedd to rejoin
