    Hi there,

Does anyone do the above commute?

How long would it take to get either the 67 or the 67x bus in the mornings from Celbridge (e.g. Salesian College stop) to the city centre in the mornings (say as far as Kildare Street or Merrion Square?)

    Thanks

Depends on when you leave really. The closer to school start times the slower Celbridge Main St. gets. Also I don't know what impact the changes on the north quays have made. Should have knocked a few minutes off though. 67x probably around 45~50 minutes. Don't get the 67 unless going very early or quite late. If the 67x is not an option try Bus Eireann.

Train from Hazelhatch to Pearse takes 43mins.

There is a free feeder bus from Salesian College that serves the village for some of the services at peak times

Thanks for the responses. I can start work anytime between 8 and 10 o clock so I could get into town early and get home early. How long does the 67x take to get back in the evenings? Best and worst case scenario?

There's also the 120 Edenderry bus - its a little unreliable but doesn't stop much between Celbridge and town a bit like the 67x sticks to main roads avoiding Lucan and Chapelizod You can catch it opposite the mill and at the halfpenny bridge on way home

Going back in the evening is generally better than coming in. But again it remains to be seen what difference the changes to the bus lanes make.

The 17:10 from Westmoreland St used to get to the stop in Celbridge opposite the Abbey Lodge around 17:45 on a good day, but generally around 17:45-17:55.

The main problem would be the traffic into Celbridge crossing the bridge. This can on rare occasions back up to the Orchard, but will regularly be back to Ballyouster Park. Could take 15-20 minutes to clear the bridge from there.

If you were taking a 67x coming from UCD then the other problem would be opposite Pearse St. Garda station to College Green. This can also be very slow. When the Luas starts running through there I'm not sure how long it will take to clear that.
