Photo Competitions regulations?

    Hi everyone,

Just wondering. So I entered an Instagram photo into a competition recently by a registered well-known brand here in Ireland there 2 weeks ago. It was all down to votes you had to send your friends a link to vote. Anyways it was supposed to end on the 17th August at a certain time. And then winner announced the next morning.

That time came and went and you could still go to the page and vote.
A week had passed and still nothing.

Then out of the blue without them announcing it on their page we heard the someone had won. Coincidently it was the number 1 entry too.

Now the thing I don't like about this comp is that you were able to vote multiple times from the same computer and, there was no tally anywhere saying how many votes each person was on.

I have nothing against the winner what so ever, but is there not any guidelines or regulations for competitions like this and in the act of fairness is it not right to display a vote tally?

Sounds ****ty but it is their competition, they can do what they want! Maybe try to find some with a more structured rule set. I wouldn't really know where to find ones worth entering though

Most of these are not really Photo Competitions they are just a way to get brand awareness on social media. They want you to enter then publicise their brand with people you know.
