A lot of areas still badly need fixing. The corner of Anderson Quay right next to the bus station is embarrassingly bad & has been for a long time. It took the opening of the redeveloped Pairc Ui Caoimh for them to finally fix some of Blackrock Road & Church Road. They must have gotten some amount of complaints after the first match with the speed that they went at it. They still only did a half arsed job of it but at least it's better than what it was.

Road repairs are often delayed while large construction works are ongoing. They want all the heavy construction vehicles gone before spending money on roads that will deteriorate with construction traffic.

Kind of makes sense. Pity the rationale is poorly communicated. :/
