I've bought stuff off M&S before with a massive price reduction and they did honour it.

Select a different fabric type then go back and select Westin Wool and then the colour

    I love YOU OP!!!

considering its a typo (should be €2,289) I doubt very much if they will honour it.

Fully covered by their terms and conditions.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,254 ✭✭✭Esse85

Was it ever worth over a grand?

Are people just buying cos of the perceived money their saying or is it a quality couch for less than €300?

More than likely. But worth a punt.

    I ordered one. Thanks OP

It's clearly a pricing error and I would not be expecting them to honour it. You can see by the other colours that it's a pricing error. Not sure I'd be paying anything like 3 grand for it.

    Everyone makes mistakes.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,275 ✭✭✭august12

It's 1359 sterling on UK site

As I've said previously, I've bought things from M&S and also Debenhams with a massive price reduction and they have all been honoured.

Won't give me the colour options.

Got the options on mobile but only the Russet available that correct?

It's only the russet colour that's reduced.

    Its 2289 in grey colour

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

Well fingers crossed! Because it's some bargain at that price.

    Where do you see that?

Most websites have that, they don't have to honour if they don't want to

Emoji thing didn't work, meant to get rid before more jump on and get it cancelled for everyone

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,646 ✭✭✭Del007

Ya I'll see if I can delete it as if too many people order it then they are more likely to cancel it

Given the initial saving, you could have it reupholstered.

Wonder what the cost would be on a couch of H95.0 cm x W180.0 cm x D95.0 cm

As I clearly now control the market, lets say 2K a piece. or you can sit on the floor ;]

    Where do you see that?

You click the "I agree to abide by the terms and conditions"

and in those is the line

"orders will only be accepted if there are no material errors in the description of the goods or services or their prices as advertised on this Website;"

So once an error is there, they are fully covered in their T&C's, which you agreed to abide by, to not accept your order.

They did have a similar issue a while back where some televisions valued at over £1,000 were advertised and sold for £100. M&S cancelled the orders but the customers kicked up a fuss and made a petition. Long story short they got their £100 quid telly.

Anybody good at making petitions ?

Edit: They were sold for £199

If you did manage to buy 2000 couches, and sold them at €2,000 each. Thats a nice $3.5 million profit.

look, I worked hard for that cash. Will buy the OP a cup of coffee to say thank you, don't want people thinking I'm Heartless.

Any easy way to get the 20 percent off without buying two of them. Any smaller cheaper items?

It's both a price error and a glitch as it is still not OOS. It's a bank holiday in the UK which is probably the only reason it hasn't been spotted.

    What am I missing here??

That couch was never worth the RRP and is reasonable money at €300 but a long way from any bargain IMO.

Depending on stock I'd say they'll honour it. They could end up telling those that ordered multiple to jog on.

I reckon some people got caught up in the reduction and got carried away with themselves

Reviews of m&s furniture are not very positive especially recent sofa purchases, maybe not such a bargain.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,060 ✭✭✭✭anewme

I also not think it looks anything like 3 grand..ever...looks very Argossy..could that actually be the correct price? ....still don't think they will honour it, especially with all the hungry customers ordering multiples...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,858 ✭✭✭bromley52

    This is more realistic
