Would like some help in identifying 3 shrubs/trees in my garden.

    Shrub #3 is very thorny.

    Any help would be appreciated!

First is Lonicera nitida - shrubby honeysuckle makes a good hedge near the sea but can spread a bit as it roots from a pile of cuttings left out on the ground.

Second is a cotoneaster of some form a pic of the plant itself would help and the third is a pyracantha with the colour of the berries being about the only easy way to make a guess as to the actual species.

btw before you do any more "gardening" I suggest you get a decent pair of secateurs.
