Hi, I am looking to buy a pair of cycling shorts/bibs
Can some one recommend me a pair.
My budget would be under 50euro.....
Is there some brands that are better than others.
I would be using the shorts for 3 to 4 cycles around Sally Gap etc for the weekends...not every weekend!

At that price point it's hard to beat wiggles own brand DHB. Brilliant shorts for all types of riding from long spins to racing.

I've ridden all the high end stuff and DHB is not far behind for a fraction of the price.

Not familiar to be honest. I have done big mileage in Assos, Castelli and various others over the years. DHB for me are the best value bib.

I have some winter bicycle line bibs for about 4 years and find them very good (they were about 150 euro though)

IMO, best value by a mile are Merlin own brand

They usually have 3 types, one around e25, one around e40 and one around e55, however they seem to be low on stock. I have the mid range ones and they are great for the money. Worth keeping an eye on to see if they get more in

Also have Funkier bib shorts , around the the 40-50 mark, very good also

agree with arthurdaly as well re DHB, haven;t had the bib-shorts, but have other bits n pieces and always good quality

Nothing wrong with them to be honest. Before I joined a club (and subsequently used only club gear/shorts) I had various bicycle line bits and pieces from superstore and they were all fine.

Decathlon own brand (B'twin) are also good in that price range - 700, 900 or Aerofit models

Probably over your budget but if you can stretch then a pair of Endura FS260 Pro is what I'd recommend. I've various shorts but these are the most comfortable for me. I use them regularly. They've been washed over 300 times at 1,000 spin (despite the drip dry instructions) and while they're showing some signs of wear, I reckon they'll be good for a while yet.
