Do you gamble online?

Late night Sky channels have a lot of adverts for online gambling ('casino' is used more than that word) and the majority of these seem aimed at women. I 've seen Scandinavian stations where every third ad during prime time is aimed at online gambling for women.

I can't add an anon. poll, so if a mod thinks it better to add one please do so (on the phone)

I haven't gambled, but Ive played a number of realtime freemium games which are considered gambling in the UK. Huge female population of players.

No. I don't even do lotto. I bought a ticket couple of times and didn't even bother to check if I won anything.

No. It affects credit rating, and it is a very sad addiction if it takes hold.

I used to do the office lotto syndicate online for the rest of my collegues, it showed up when I went to apply for a mortgage as a gambling habit. Had to stop it.

I also used to live across the road from a bookies office. People used to forget they had kids in the car, leave them there for hours while they were in setting bet after bet. I think it's an awful addiction.

No. It's not something I really "get". The closest I've got to gambling is that one time I bought a lotto ticket. But then again I don't have an addictive personality at all. As mentioned above, it's an awful addiction. I personality see it as a waste of money.

No, not my thing at all. My husband is into horse racing but he prefers to make a few small cash bets at the races than to do a lot online.

I'm actually very uncomfortable with the amount of gambling ads that are around. And TV stations like Sky encouraging it since they own or have a stake in betting companies. There is noticably more talk around predictions among pundits to remind people they can place a bet. Maybe I am more judgemental because I never saw the attraction of it but I do find it worrying how much encouragement is there for people to place a bet.

I've noticed an increase in the amount of betting ads.....especially during gaa games recently. I used to do the odd 50c/€1 bet on Galway races/Cheltenham/Grand national online, but haven't done that in years. I do the Lotto/Euromillions the odd time. I don't do the online gambling/casino sites at all.

Nope, don't understand the appeal. I've been to Vegas and didn't gamble. Granted, I was 16 at the time, but nobody in my family did. Going back next year and won't then either.
